The main problem here is that people rely way too much on willpower. I can tell you first hand, it won’t work! You have to replace the temporary pleasure you get from eating junk food or scrolling through Instagram.

1. Workout For At Least 30 Minutes

Move your body everyday for at least 30 mins. You can go to the gym, do a home workout, do yoga, or simply go for a walk. After all, we spend way too much time on our couches, don’t we?

Don’t skip a day. Try to rotate different workouts so you have time for rest & recovery as well.

If you put in half the effort for three months inconsistently, you’ll get nowhere near the results you’d get with consistent efforts for 21 days. Challenges really help you step on gas.

This is probably the most significant result of completing this challenge. It gives you a sense of pride and self confidence that you actually follow through on your commitments and that you are capable of accomplishing anything you set your mind to!

You can’t expect yourself to find a new workout every day. You won’t have time for that!

Also, I believe in making things as simple as possible for you. Having a plan in place would help to keep this challenge fun and simple.

Reminder : Don’t put off starting the challenge for the sake of research. Take two days to plan and get started; you’ll figure everything out as you go!

2. Mental Strength

Completing any challenge requires more mental strength than physical strength. There will always be times when it will be easier to fall back to your old habits rather than pushing through to start new ones.

However, pushing yourself in those moments will make you more confident in yourself. Enter the challenge with the mindset that you can do it.

Having a strong why will also help you push through the toughest times. Take some time to consider why you want to quit the bad habit in the first place?

Consider the positive: what will happen if you complete the challenge and achieve transformational results? Now, consider the downside: what will your life be like in 10 years if you stay in the same place?

And use both of them as your motivations to really get going.

4. 2 day rule

A little heads up, you might have days were you’re not consistent with the challenge. Especially if you’re doing this for the first time. In those moments I want you to remember the 2 day rule.

“Never miss the new habit you’re trying to build 2 days in a row”

If you have a bad day, sit back. Analyze. Start again tomorrow.

5. Accountability

If you can get your friend to start this challenge with you, it’s gonna be more easy for you to keep going. It’s all about making things simple and more fun for yourself.
